Where to get weight loss advice

It really amazes me who people take advice from… If you are going to take advice from someone, make sure they have the results (their body) to back up what they’re teaching. Most of the inaccurate information out there is circulated by people who have no real grasp of what it takes to achieve effective and permanent weight loss. If you were learning to play basketball do you think it would be smarter to learn from an NBA player or a fifth grader who had yet to learn the fundamentals? Keep in mind however, that many people will tell you with complete conviction to do things that simply do not work. Take a good look at the people who give you health and weight loss advice. Are they lean and fit?
If the answer is yes then this person could very well be a credible source of good information, but if the answer is obviously no then why would anyone listen to them? OK, I know this sounds incredibly simple and obvious right? Except for the fact that this is how millions of people get their advice! You can respectfully listen (no need to argue) but then you’ll most likely need to disregard a lot of what you may normally hear. People mean well, yet the truth is that most are ignorant as to what it really takes to make dramatic progress quickly and effectively. As Albert Einstein said, “The significant problems we face cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them.” And I’ll also tell you right now that your new habits might strike some people as not being “normal” by their standards. You should take this as a good sign because “normal” is the majority. You and I both know what the overall state of health is for the majority, don’t we? This is why you should want to be abnormal. And let it also be known that living life lean may have become uncommon, yet this doesn’t mean that it is not natural. It is. So the point here is that many people are simply the victim of poor advice. Often it’s the equivalent of a get rich quick scheme for the body. Trust me, I know how tempting it can be to listen to some of the claims being made. But again, my advice to you here is simple: Listen to Doers. By this I mean people who actually practice what they preach and have the body and physical vitality as proof. I also recommend that you seek out people that have the exact body that you wish to manifest. These are the people who you want to study. Get as much detailed information as possible regarding their diet and exercise habits. This information is worth its’ weight in gold because it’s coming from a credible source. Actually, even better would be to find people who have the body that you desire but were once overweight and out of shape. This is where you can really begin to find some empowering knowledge that you can act on. This is called “modeling” and it is a proven shortcut to success that I recommend. Just make sure that your “model” has kept the weight off for some time (at least six months) and is not a flash in the pan.

Weight Loss with Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a scientifically verified and effective technique that can promote accelerated human change. Hypnosis (from the Greek hypnos, meaning sleep) is a trance-like state that resembles sleep but is induced by a person whose suggestions are readily accepted by the subject. Hypnosis has been described as the suspension of the critical factor which expands on the idea of increased suggestibility. Hypnosis through lengthy relaxation or visual experiences is the most common form of induction, but speed-trance instant inductions (2-10 seconds) is a method for induction or re-induction among some clinical hypnotists seeking to manage trauma or overcome acute anxiety and resistance.

Hypnosis can be an incredibly powerful tool in helping you achieve whatever you want to do. With hypnosis we can create desired changes in behavior and encourage mental and physical well-being. Successful hypnosis is attained by the removal of any inhibitory fear. Some schools of thought hold that hypnosis as a state very similar to other states of extreme concentration, where a person becomes oblivious to his or her surroundings while lost in thought. Highway hypnosis is a good example. This is when a driver finds himself much further down the road without any memory of driving the distance while still responding to external events in the expected manner, with no recollection of having consciously done so.

Weight loss and how hypnosis can help. Hypnosis today earns a large portion of its success through the aid of weight loss (body sculpting). You can program your mind with your weight loss goals. To add another feather to its cap, weight loss hypnosis is believed to be one of the most proficient weight loss programs ever thought of. Weight loss hypnosis makes the impossible diet seem possible because we no longer have the same attachment to food as before. When weight loss hypnosis makes you lose your unconscious image of food, you lose your cravings. Once you lose your cravings, overeating decreases and the weight starts to come off effortlessly. Are you living lean or dying fat?

Done correctly, cardio exercise can be an extremely effective tool to living life lean. But that certainly doesn’t mean you have to engage in hours upon hours of mindless and unproductive sessions like so many people do… But check this out: I recently read one of the most inspiring books I have ever read. And trust me that says a lot, because I’ve read LOTS of books! It’s called “Ultra-Marathon Man” by Dean Karnazes. Now as I said, you don’t need to do hours and hours of cardio to live life lean, yet this book tells an incredible story about what LIVING life is all about… See, at 30 years old Dean Karnazes hadn’t run in over 15 years. He had an all around successful life living in beautiful SanFrancisco: happy marriage, two children, nice home, great career, financially successful, luxury car…etc, etc
But on his 30th birthday Dean felt an emptiness inside. He felt like something was missing in his life… He wasn’t TRULY satisfied with his life… So after he went out on his 30th birthday and had one too many drinks in downtown San Francisco, he came home just past midnight, and right before he went inside he decided he wanted to go on a run, even though he was slightly intoxicated! He went around back and grabbed a pair of beat up sneakers he used to work in the garden. And he didn’t want to disturb his wife, (who had gone home earlier that night) so instead of going inside to grab a pair of shorts, he just took off his pants and set off on his run in an undershirt and a loose fitting pair of boxers! Well, that night Dean ended up running all night long. In fact, he ended up running 30 miles! He had to call his wife the next morning to pick him up from a gas station. You can imagine her surprise when he told her he was 30 miles away! And you also can imagine the look on her face when she picked him up and saw what he was wearing! And there are some other funny details about this story that I won’t go into here… This guy is really something else. And don’t worry, I didn’t ruin the book for you. Not even close! That is actually just the beginning… The book is filled with interesting and inspiring stories that challenge anyone to really evaluate whether or not they are experiencing true growth in their life. My guess however, is that you’re not really interested in being an Ultra-Marathon Runner. In fact, you’re probably not even interested in being a marathon runner… But that isn’t the point. Actually, you don’t have to run a marathon to live life lean. Come to think of it… you don’t have to run at all! You may even have noticed there are plenty of people who routinely run marathons, but are still overweight! So this isn’t the point… But let me ask you, are making an effort to make PROGRESS each and every day? Are you experiencing consistent GROWTH? During your cardio sessions, are you improving your time by at least one second? Are you becoming physically stonger day by day? Do you even know? Yes, living life to the FULLEST means loving this very moment. It means being grateful for everything you have in your life, but it also means GROWTH. And when you stop growing, you start DYING. And in terms of health and fitness, growth and living life lean go hand and hand… You don’t need to go out and run thirty miles to experience exhilarating personal growth in your life. You just need to breakthrough YOUR comfort zone, and enjoy yourself in the process. THAT is what “personal victory” is all about my friend…

Obesity Surgery – The Express Weight Loss Solution

Today, public opinion about Obesity Surgery is somewhat of an extreme nature. It is widely looked upon as the final resort for those who are desperately trying to lose weight by conventional means such as dieting and exercising but are not getting the desired results. This is, however, far from true. Recent advancements in medicine and surgery have made weight loss surgery not only safer and more affordable, but also more popular. Today, an increasing number of people are opting for weight loss surgery not as a last resort, but as the very first, and only step, in their weight management efforts.
Obesity is a very large problem. Our hectic lifestyle, hurried meals and reliance on processed foods have made us heavier and bulkier than we should be. By using BMI Calculator or Hip to Waist Ratio Calculator, we can figure out how fat we are. To make matters worse, obesity has been proven to be a potentially dangerous condition as it makes the body more susceptible to ailments such as cardiac diseases, seizures, cancer, diabetes and more.
The biggest problem with any weight loss program comprising diet control and exercises is that even though it may be easy to shed excess weight at first, the rate of progress soon drops as the body starts to adapt itself to the new changes. Moreover, keeping the weight from reappearing is a very tough proposition. It invariably returns as one tries to return to normal life and regular eating. For anybody looking to lose weight quickly, and keep it off for good, without making any drastic changes in one’s diet or lifestyle, obesity surgery is an excellent choice.

Myths From The Weight Loss Crowd

Are you looking for some inside information on weight loss? Here’s an up-to-date report from weight loss experts who should know.

Knowledge can give you a real advantage. To make sure you’re fully informed about weight loss, keep reading.

Myth: You’ll be OK with a high protein/low carb diet Fact: This type of diet aims to secure most of the daily required amount of calories from protein foods, such as meat, dairy products and eggs, with a very small part taken from foods containing a lot of carbs (bread, pasta, potatoes and fruits). The biggest problem with this diet is that many common and popular foods are forbidden, which makes it easy for the user to get bored or frustrated. When boredom and frustration set in, quitting time is never far off. Another problem is the lack of nutrients that are usually brought in by carbohydrate foods, while allowing the user to eat bacon and cheese that raise cholesterol levels.

The bottom line is that high protein/low carb diets result in fast weight loss in some users, but it’s not just fat that goes away. People also lose some of their lean muscle mass and a lot of water as the kidneys work harder to rid the body of excess waste from protein and fat.

The added stress to your kidneys is not healthy at all and, in the long run, will lead to dehydration, headaches, feelings of nausea and dizziness. Before engaging in a long-term diet, you would do well to discuss it with your physician. And if you are really keen on dieting, try a balanced diet first, because it will help you lose weight without hurting your system.

Myth: Permanent weight loss can be achieved with fad diets. Fact: This is yet another common myth among the weight loss crowd. Like any other diet that tells you to cut this or that food from your daily meals, fad diets are not healthy for you. The cornerstone of any diet is supplying the body with all the calories, proteins and minerals it needs. Diets that cut out foods without regard for the needs of your body cannot be healthy for you. Fad diets fail to deliver on the promise of permanent weight loss because people will always crave the forbidden foods and will always end up breaking the rules and ditching the diet.

The key to making weight loss permanent is more exercise and to avoid eating food that makes you fat without nourishing your body. Our extensive studies confirmed the importance of exercising and of a well-balanced diet.

Myth: Low-fat or no fat food is always a good choice. Fact: The only low fat foods that are also low in calories are fruits. The rest of the huge low-fat or non-fat group are not a safe choice if you are dieting. These products may have added sugar, starch or flour to make them taste better, which means extra calories that do not belong into your diet. So make sure you check the list of ingredients on packages whenever you decide to buy low-fat.

Myth: Switching to vegetarian food will help you lose weight and stay healthy. Fact: I know this is a hard pill to swallow, but no food plan will work for you unless you take charge of your eating and make sure that everything that goes past your lips is the right kind of food. The key here is to be absolutely sure that the vegetarian diet will give your body all the nutrients and calories it needs. Eating heaps of foods that do nothing for you from the nutritional point of view, outside maybe of filling your stomach, can bring you a lot of trouble in the future.

Since plants tend to have a lower concentration of nutrients than meat, you will have to eat more food than before to make up for this difference. Not to mention that a strictly vegetarian diet will not get you enough vitamin B12, vitamin D, iron, calcium and zinc. These substances are taken mostly from dairy products and eggs in a regular diet, but true vegetarians can’t touch those. You’ll have to rely on the few and uncommon vegetables that can provide these substances.

Myth: Dairy products cause heart problems and make you fat. Fact: Well, thanks to modern medicine everybody knows that eating a lot of dairy products is a surefire path to high blood pressure and stroke, although a large group of people from France refuse to die despite the large quantities of cheese and wine they consume.

Dairy products are the main source of calcium that keeps your bones strong and healthy. It is absolutely essential for children and can be in no way overlooked by adults. Dairy products also contain vitamin D, which is crucial to maintaining the normal levels of calcium and phosphorus in your bloodstream.

If you don’t want to gain weight from dairy products, then choose low-fat or non-fat brands. There are enough of those around. If you are lactose-intolerant, drink soy or rice milk. It does not taste exactly the same as true milk, but it’s still good and nutritious.

Butter and margarine are the only dairy products you should worry about. They do contain big levels of fat. Still, if you can’t do without them, at least eat butter. Margarine is an over-processed fat that is not particularly good for you. Butter may be a bit fatter, but it definitely is the healthier of these two.

You can’t predict when knowing something extra about weight loss will come in handy. If you learned anything new about &keyword% in this article, you should file the article where you can find it again.

Can Calorie Shifting Diet Work?

Most of us find diets really exciting since they prove to be the fastest ways of knocking of our extra pounds. We get attracted to diets that claim they can help us lose 6 pounds or more in just a week. Do all of these diets actually work? Can we actually lose weight in just a week’’s time? And is that healthy? To answer your questions, not all diets are genuine. There are many diets that will claim to help you lose weight but some of them may not do that. Some of them are healthy and some of them are not. So you have to be careful about which diet you decide to follow. However diets that work along the lines of the calorie shifting principle are very genuine and effective. They do help you shed your extra pounds and in a way that is not harmful to your body. The most famous of calorie shifting diets is the “fat loss 4 idiots diet”. This diet proves why other diets are most unhealthy and proves to you a good scientific method of losing your excess fat. Some of the most common diets work at reducing your calorie or food intake for an extended period of time. This helps you to begin losing weight. But more often than not, you start putting on weight even while still following the diet. The weight lost does not last long enough. This is because our bodies have been designed in such a way that if you give it a considerable amount of time, its metabolism adjusts to whatever your intake is be it less of carbohydrates, fats or proteins or just less intake of the quantity of food. The fat burnt is proportional to the rate of metabolism. If your metabolism is fast, you will burn calories fast too. If metabolism is slow, naturally the rate of burning calories will be slow too. Lesser the food intake, slower the metabolism. Most of these diets are all about taking in fewer calories and hence lesser calories are burnt up as well. And if you go out on a binge even on one day, you will land up putting on even more weight since your metabolism will be slow and you will not be able to burn much fat.

The calorie shifting diets do not work like other diets. They have a scientific background. They understand that the rotation of eating routine is required in order to keep our metabolism high at all times. Higher the metabolism, more the calories burnt. The diet encourages the rotation of food stuff. It allows you to eat one type this week and to change it next week. So basically you eat new type of food every week. Your diet this week will not be the same as last week. This way your metabolism will be always high, thus burning out more and more calories.

Hoodia For Safe, Effective Weight Loss

You might be one of those women out there having a tough time with your body weight. Every time you try to diet, you would seem to gain more weight than what you seemed to have lost. This makes you look awkward and completely out of shape. To add to this, this might prove to be dangerous for your health. This happens in a cyclic manner and you would find yourself gaining more and more weight and ultimately within few years, you would have gained twenty to fifty pounds. Your metabolism is largely to blame for the fact that you cannot lose those extra pounds that you have so easily packed on. Metabolism consists of very complicated hormonal and chemical balances in the body that burn the calories from food and provide energy. Metabolism governs the brain and muscles along with numerous other aspects of the body.

Weight loss is much harder for someone whose system is out of balance. He or she may even add on more pounds while consuming the same amount of calories as usual. This is because the metabolic rate has been lowered and fat is building up due to this slower burning of calories.

The main reason for slow metabolic rate could be due to physical transformations that result from aging. The fact is, the more you stay on diet, the slower the metabolic rate becomes which in turn would gain you more weight. Women aged thirty and above, suffer more from these problems because of the hormones that are produced in their bodies.

The only solution to this weight gain problem is to speed up the metabolism. Fortunately, it is easy to do this. A natural supplement called hoodia has been used by Native Americans for centuries to improve health and speed up the metabolism. Hoodia is all-natural, derived from botanical sources.

Hoodia is not an artificial stimulant. People using Hoodia see weight loss due to natural, gentle metabolic changes. No side negative side effects of health problems have been reported with the use of this product. Unlike diet pills, you will have long lasting results. People feel healthier and more energetic when they are using the all natural hoodia product.

Our Diet World – Just A Golden Cage?

Can you imagine explaining a 1200 calorie diet to your great-grandparents? Their eyes would roll back in their heads and they would certainly turn in their graves if they knew how today’s society is enslaved to the diet industry. Today experts seem to have all the answers, there is a pill for everything, and even a perfect diet for every blood type. We are inundated with things we “should” eat and “should not” eat. No wonder some people feel guilty just drooling over dessert. Heaven forbid you stare at it too long, you might actually gain an ounce just lusting after its yummyness. It has become truly ludicrous. One of society’s biggest disease problems comes from stress. Our minds are programmed and hypnotized with information about things we should and should not do. No wonder do we suffer from heart problems, strokes or even get a disease that didn’t exist a couple of decades ago.

What has happened to us as a society? Why do these industries have such a hold on us? And since when have we become their slave?

As human beings we have created these magnificent bodies to live in so we can do what we have come here to do. We are meant to nourish these vehicles, to enjoy them, treat them well and savor every experience while in this body. For some reason over the past few years our bodies seemed to have become enemies instead of our best friends. The media never fails to attack body parts: “Fight off your unsightly cellulite.” “Get rid of your love handles.” And on and on do we hear about how we need to mold our bodies, reshape them and even go under the knife to look what others want us to look like. So for once I dare you to demand your freedom back and practice gratitude for your body. It’s your only prototype, take well care of it.

These 4 starter points can help:

1. Start looking “inside” for answers: Whatever it is you’re looking for, you can find any and all answers inside of you. If you’ve been told that you are suffering from an illness, turn to your Higher Self for answers. You created the disease over time, perhaps over life times; ask your Self for details and how to heal yourself. Even if you feel at a breaking point, there is always a way out from under the seemingly unbearable pressure. Seek the answers with all your heart and your Higher Self will answer and show you the path to full recovery.

2. Meditation and Breathing: Accessing our Higher Selves is done easiest through meditation and proper breathing techniques. Start with the full intention to breath deeply and fully when sitting silently. For most people this is very difficult because we have become human doings instead of human beings. Peace and happiness is found in states of being, not states of doing or having.

3. Move your body: You have an amazing purpose to accomplish here on earth and your body was designed to help you with this endeavor. Europeans walk an average of 2 miles per day. Here in the US with at least 1 car per household we barely walk 50 yards per day. Substitute moving your body by finding other ways; go to a fitness center or starting walking for fun; just get yourself moving.

4. Learn to love all of your body: I can’t tell you how many people I have heard say that they hate a certain part on their body, or even all of it. Yet if our country’s leader would announce that he hated all of its citizens we would have immediate war. 70 billion living cells manage the functions of our bodies and yet when we tell one body part that we dislike it then we do just that: we declare war on the entire body. Instead help your 70 trillion living cells to cooperate with each other so they can work on rebuilding your body and keeping your body healthy. Start by expressing to your body how grateful you are for the things that do work and the body parts that do look great. Feel your 70 trillion living cells relax and come to peace with what their jobs are and watch a miracle take place right within your own body. Soon your body will be your greatest ally and your best friend and will give you all the energy you need so you can be empowered and about your true purpose here.

Why Do Overweight People Struggle To Lose Weight?

This is a question healthy and in shape individuals must ponder all the time. After all, they are in shape how hard could it be? Well, I can answer this question very simply. WE LOVE FOOD!

People who do not struggle with their weight simply see food as a necessity to stop their hunger pangs. Overweight people however have an addiction to food. Some people might think what I am about to say is a bit far fetched but I believe that food addiction is the hardest of all to break! My simple reasoning is that we all need food. We cannot live without it. This is like asking someone who is struggling with alcoholism to have just half a beer, 3 times a day!

Like alcohol binges, many overweight dieters often binge eat enough to feed a whole family in Africa for a month! No wonder people diet for years and actually look fatter! Food is everywhere and is needed, our will power is constantly working overtime with cravings coming in left right and centre, and no matter how strong we are, eventually we succumb to the pressure.

Overweight individuals seem to have a greater appreciation for food. The various tastes, textures and scents. Food makes us more comfortable in times of tiredness and stress. It helps us enjoy more of situations, whether its walking along the beach with your girlfriend while eating an ice-cream, enjoying a large home cooked meal with family, a BBQ with friends on a beautiful summers day or a pizza with friends while watching the footy (I could go on forever!)

Not only do we love the taste of food, we absolutely love feeling FULL! We love overeating and feeling satisfied or to a better extent, stuffed!

Food is one of lifes greatest pleasures, forms of enjoyment and relaxation for many overweight individuals.

So can you imagine how hard it would be for one of us to give up not only overeating, but the freedom to enjoy our favourite foods. It is almost impossible for the vast majority of us to not only drastically reduce or calorie intake, but to also dramatically change what we eat to super healthy. This is unrealistic and unachievable.

Its not as simple as stop eating that, or stop eating so much

So next time you see someone struggling with their weight, I hope you can appreciate what they are going through.

Top 10 Most Unrealistic Diet Expectations of All Time

What is the one thing you find the hardest to grasp with dieting? Is it the type of food you eat, the amount of food you eat, the amount of exercise or is it the lack of freedom of food choices.

After overcoming my weight problem after spending 7 and a half years of my life yo-yo dieting, I thought it would be fun to write down on paper the things I struggled with most. These 10 factors are the ones that more likely than not, caused me to ruin my diet.

1. EATING SMALLER MEALS

This was extremely difficult for me. I like to feel content and full after a meal. I found I could only do this if I was really busy. However, if I had nothing else to do after finishing my diet meal, I would get irresistible cravings to splurge, and more often than not I did in a big way!

2. EATING DISGUSTING FOOD

I found this the most difficult. Not only did I have to give up my favourite foods, I had to eat the most blend and tasteless food imaginable. Even if a diet did sound good to start with (the high fat diet) the lack of variety soon made me hate those foods. I still cringe thinking about how I used to force myself to eat tuna in spring water and egg whites. After a while I was dry reaching every time I put them in my mouth! To solve this problem, I would take a mouthful of tuna, then take a mouthful of water and drink it down! Yuck! After having this meal for lunch at work, I would get home and eat half a box of Nutri-Grain cereal with nearly a litre of milk!

3. CUTTING CARBOHYDRATES

This drove me crazy! Whenever I did this I felt so drained and weak. I was always tired. I found it hard to string more than a few days of consistent dieting together without pigging out on cereal, pasta, juice and sandwiches. What I realize now is that whatever I wasnt allowed to have, thats what I craved.

4. CONSUMING LESS FOOD AT NIGHT

I dont like to admit it, but one of my favourite things is to eat a large, almost challenging-to-finish meal for dinner that will leave me stuffed. I dont know why but I love the feeling. Maybe I like the challenge and almost like to show off how much food I can eat. Also, night time is when I am unwinding and I would like to have a snack or two while relaxing and watching T.V before going to bed. Many diets actually want you to eat very little from 5pm onwards and not eat for 3 hours before going to bed. I obviously struggled with this one. My most common time for pigging out and ruining my diet was (and still is) at night time.

5. EATING A TON OF PROTEIN

I found this the hardest in my day to day activities. Some diets wont let you even have an apple without having a piece of protein with it. I couldnt stand to eat so much meat, blend meat at that because it had to be lean. Do you know hard it is to get a lean piece of meat when you are out and about? I would have to carry tins of tuna with me because this was the only portable meat. I couldnt always leave the house because I had to eat protein every 2-3 hours! (I know thats a bit extreme but I felt like that some times!) This is where supplement companies must be loving it, because the most portable source of protein is, protein powder, which leads me to my next point

6. EXPENSIVE SUPPLEMENTS

I personally found that the most restricting diets were the ones that recommended that you use supplements to make the diet easier. Maybe they made the diet so hard that you had no choice but to buy their supplements? I dont know. All I know is many of those supplements (predominantly Meal Replacement Powders) were disgusting and extremely expensive. I would fork out over a $100 for a few weeks supply. What I find amusing is that they also say that you should follow their diet for life (I wonder why?!…$$) Besides how can a powdered mix be more healthy than natural from the ground real food?

7. DIETS THAT CUT OUT AN ENTIRE FOOD GROUP

These diets were the hardest ones to follow. Whether it was a no fat diet, a no protein diet (all fruit, or soup diets) or a no carbohydrate diet I couldnt stand the lack of freedom. I personally found the no carb diet the hardest, I felt like a zombie and I was talking as slow as Rocky Balboa! Any diet that cuts out a whole macronutrient (whether be protein, carbs or fat) was just way to demanding for me.

8. EATING LOW FAT

Many of the high protein diets also recommend that you keep your fat intake to a minimum (some allow us to have a tablespoon of flaxseed oil a day, Hooray!) This is what made high protein diets unbearable for me. Not only did we have to eat a ton of it, it had to be as lean as possible. Only the egg white, grilled chicken, no fat, nothing on it, or tuna in spring water drained. Yuck! If I was lucky some diets would even grant me the luxury of no fat, watery skim milk! No fat = no taste = no chance for me to stick to it

9. NO FREEDOM OR FLEXIBILITY

This drove me crazy. Most, wait actually all diets had an authorised food list. If a food you wanted to eat wasnt on the list, you simply couldnt eat it. Problem was the authorised list normally contained no more than 10-20 foods, that was it! Typically it was: chicken, tuna, egg whites, fish, protein powder and oatmeal, brown rice, whole-wheat pasta and some allowed whole-wheat bread sparingly, along with plenty of vegetables.

What if I was away from my house for more than 2 hours, where was I going to cook this food? Why cant I just have a chicken burger at McDonalds? Cant I just have a bottle of Orange Juice at the petrol station? No, No, No if its not on the authorised list you cant eat it!

These damn authorised lists also stopped me from dining out altogether…so my girlfriend suffered. At first I tried to dine out and stick to the authorised list, but I would spend half an hour explaining to the waiter what I wanted. Not only this hassle but the temptation of delicious food all around me made me to simply give up dining full stop.

This drove me crazy because I love dining out. Taking people you care about out for a special night and delicious food. Depriving myself of this right was probably one of the hardest things to cope with. This lack of flexibility with the diet caused me to pig out on so much junk food (I dont even want to think about how much money I have given to ol Colonel Sanders) I think subconsciously I might also pig out because I am a bit head strong and rebellious. (Ill show you for not allowing me to eat my favourite foods!)

And last, but definitely not least

10. NOT BEING ALLOWED TO OVER-INDULGE OCCASIONALLY

I have a ridiculously large appetite. I love to eat until Im stuffed and feel completely satisfied. I almost show off with how much I can eat sometimes (I know that sounds bad but I am proud of how much I can put away!)

All diets were a huge culture shock to me because of how little I was allowed to eat. I probably could have stuck to them if they just let me let my hair down occasionally and indulge a little. Many didnt allow any leeway though. So the pressure of depriving myself of overeating just kept building up and building up until it became unbearable. Then guess what happened. Thats right I OVER ATE and in a big way. At first I felt good about it, but then felt really depressed because I had done the wrong thing by the diet I was following.

I honestly didnt and to this day still dont see the harm in pigging out every now and then. If you stick to your diet and train hard, a large pizza to yourself or a visit to an all you can eat buffet once or twice a week will definitely not hurt your progress, in actual fact I believe it helps you. I believe it actually speeds up weight loss (Ill go more in-depth in another article) but more importantly it helps keep you sane, and keeps cravings down, which enables you to be more consistent for a longer period of time.
